Our Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) practice in the Washington, DC metro area is seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist with transportation engineering and/or construction experience to lead our managed services project controls and scheduling support team at an agency of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation. This position allows for a hybrid work format that requires onsite presence in the client’s office location in Ashburn, VA only three days a week and the remaining two days can be remote (work from home). This individual will be responsible for the following tasks: Work collaboratively with the program support team consisting of 3 – 4 Project Control Specialists assigned to the region to execute the Statement of Work (SOW) for a 5-year renewable services contract Perform project controls and scheduling support tasks for the Eastern region of the agency’s division in Ashburn, VA with jurisdiction for over 30 states and Puerto Rico Lead initiatives to define and execute strategies for mitigating issues and improving efficiency and productivity across all assigned project controls and scheduling tasks Effectively utilize the Oracle Primavera P6 application to perform required controls and scheduling tasks at both the program and project level to support all project phases Work collaboratively with the client stakeholders to ensure the satisfactory fulfillment of all service level agreements Generate, analyze and distribute all reports required to provide in depth insight to project stakeholders to enable informed decision making Provide weekly/monthly status reports to the Chief of Engineering, Branch Chiefs, Construction Engineers, Program Managers, Project Managers, Functional Managers etc. Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Minimum of 5 years of project controls and scheduling experience in a large transportation engineering, construction or public works environment Must possess at least 5 years of project controls and scheduling experience using Oracle Primavera P6 Professional or EPPM v21 or higher Experience and good understanding of supporting scheduling activities at both the project and program level within all phases of the project Prior experience utilizing Earned Value Analysis, Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and Float Analysis MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT MUST BE ABLE TO PASS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE PROCESS Compensation Annual salary is based on experience 10% annual performance bonus Benefits include 15 days of PTO, 11 paid public holidays, medical, dental, vision, 4% employer match 401K plan, educational assistance, life insurance, short and long term disability insurance, etc. Additional Information *** ONLY CANDIDATES LOCAL TO THE WASHINGTON, DC METRO AREA OR THOSE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO THE AREA WILL BE CONSIDERED.
