Our Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) practice in the Portland metro area is seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist with transportation engineering and/or construction experience to support our managed services project controls and scheduling support contract with an agency of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation. This will be a mostly remote work environment with an opportunity to work onsite as needed in the office location in Vancouver, WA (Portland, OR metro area).

This individual will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Work collaboratively with our program team consisting of 2 other Project Control Specialists assigned to the region to provide superior project controls expertise
- Perform project controls and scheduling support tasks for the Western region of the agency’s division in Vancouver, WA
- Define and execute strategies for mitigating issues and improving efficiency and productivity across all assigned project controls and scheduling tasks
- Effectively utilize the Oracle Primavera P6 application to perform required controls and scheduling tasks at both the program and project level to support all project phases
- Work collaboratively with the client stakeholders to ensure the satisfactory fulfillment of all service level agreements
- Generate, analyze and distribute all reports required to provide in depth insight to project stakeholders to enable informed decision making
- Provide biweekly/monthly project status updates to the Chief of Engineering, Branch Chiefs, COEs, PMs, Functional Managers etc.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of 3 years of project controls and scheduling experience in a large engineering, construction or public works environment
- Must possess at least 3 years of project controls and scheduling experience using Oracle Primavera P6 Professional or EPPM v21 or higher
- Experience and good understanding of supporting scheduling activities at both the project and program level within all phases of the project
- Prior experience utilizing Earned Value Analysis, Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and Float Analysis
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE PROCESS
Compensation
- Annual salary is based on experience
- 10% annual performance bonus
